The romantic city on the Main and Tauber

The former residential town of the Counts of Wertheim at the mouth of the Tauber and the Main offers its own
atmosphere with its medieval streets, half-timbered houses, small squares and the impressive castle ruins from
the 12th century. Like only a few cities, Wertheim has retained the character of an old Franconian small town. Tradition and
modernity come together here, attracting cultural diversity, idyllic landscapes, the openness of the locals and the
uniqueness of the sights. The GrafschaftsMuseum and Baden-Württemberg's only glass museum, numerous art and architectural
monuments, such as the collegiate church, Engelsbrunnen and the "Schlößchen im Hofgarten" await your visit.
The late Gothic St. Kilian's Chapel is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic chapels in Germany.
The view from the castle is breathtaking the foothills of the Spessart and Odenwald and the confluence of the
Main and Tauber.
