Haßfurt am Main – Simply beautiful!

Haßfurt is idyllically located between the two Haßberge and Steigerwald nature parks, directly on the northern
bank of the Main, and connects wine and beer Franconia. The district town with around 13,000 inhabitants is one
of the oldest places in the Haßberge district and was first mentioned in a document in 1230. The graceful old town,
still recognizable in its original layout as an elongated rectangle, is crossed by the wide main street lined with
half-timbered houses and bordered by the two large city towers. The landmark and most important building in
the historic city is the late Gothic knight's chapel. On the roof cornice of the choir there are 248 coats of arms
carved in sandstone - a never-before-seen heraldic book of the German nobility. The late Gothic parish church on
the market square houses valuable works by Tilman Riemenschneider, such as: B. John the Baptist, Mary with
the child and the Frankish apostles. Haßfurt is known for its diverse cultural program, which attracts numerous visitors. In addition, the leisure center
with the adventure pool and the covered ice rink promises fun and activity all year round. You can explore
Haßfurt in different ways with city and church tours as well as sightseeing flights. Hotels, guesthouses, holiday
apartments and the motorhome parking space located directly on the Main offer overnight accommodation.
Cafés, ice cream parlors and restaurants invite guests to stop by, while numerous owner-managed shops
with individual advice offer a personal shopping experience in the heart of the city center. Haßfurt – simply
beautiful.
