Northeim - Medieval half-timbered town in the middle of Germany

The historic cityscape of Northeim is characterized by half-timbered buildings. The medieval farmhouses have been
lovingly restored. Visitors encounter living history in the sunny squares and narrow streets of the Hanseatic city.
The Northeim Lake District offers a wide range of activities for swimmers, surfers, sailors, bird lovers and anglers.
Leine and Rhume are easy to navigate by canoe. Northeim is also the ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours
in the Leinebergland. The mountain ranges crowned by castles offer fantastic views over the Leine and Rhume
valleys as far as the Harz and Solling. Forests, meadows and fields are crossed by clear lakes and lively rivers.
Medieval towns and idyllic half-timbered villages invite you to take a break.
