On Sunday 26 May on the occasion of the 10th German Half-Timbered House Day, the secrets of the enchanted half-timbered house will be revealed.
There will be a guided tour at 11.00 am and at 2.30 pm respectively. These will replace the public tours of the old town on this day.
Built in 1573, it seemed to have been completely forgotten by the public for many years, but has fortunately been pushed back into active life in recent years by Einbeck's cultural workers from the sidings. For example, it is Einbeck's first talking half-timbered house that tells its own story in a podcast - and this story is quite fascinating.
The Wittram dyeing family, still Europe's oldest blue printing works in Einbeck to this day has remained in people's consciousness to the present day, having dyed their fabrics in the Wolpeterhaus for a long time. But there were many other people who also lived in the house at Wolperstraße 23 and the artist Patricia M.Keil pays tribute to them in an exhibition.
Registration and ticket purchase at the Tourist Information Centre, Marktstr. 13, Einbeck.
